Description
Small lithium 12V batteries save space and weight, but they go flat quickly when a vehicle or system sits unused, and deep discharge damages the cells. This cutoff isolates the 12V battery when its voltage drops, leaving enough charge to start up again.
While monitoring it draws 5mA. Once tripped it switches itself off and draws nothing. An LED shows whether the battery is connected. A momentary switch on the reset input reconnects the battery for 10 seconds so you can start up.
It splices into the battery positive lead with the included 6mm ring terminals. M3 terminals take the ground and reset wires.
Note: the cutoff blocks discharge current only. Charge current still flows after it trips.
